I joined Mamba in March 2007 and from that time I have progressed from starting on the sales & marketing side to then learning how to consistently manage a team of between 10-15 people. I felt those early roles developed me mentally and created a great attitude for my future work ethic so that I could succeed in this industry.
Before I started in Mamba I studied engineering at college and university. I quickly realised that particular career path was not as fast moving for me. I worked in Morrison’s food stores for four years while studying. What I was paid wasn’t amazing and basic opportunities to manage were not challenging enough. Leaving there to join Mamba was an easy decision for me.
In my time of being in this business it has given me amazing travel opportunities, for example: all expenses paid long-weekend trips in November 2007 and again in November 2008 for Mamba’s top individuals to Marbella, Spain. I have also travelled to both Portugal and Cyprus staying in some of the best 5 star hotels for the annual Group “R&R” weekend which the group holds every year. I have also travelled around the UK being invited to meetings and conferences in places like London, Manchester, Birmingham, Plymouth, Nottingham etc.
For many months I succeeded in selling, marketing & coaching in the Charities division, and then in December 2008 I travelled to one of our Group offices in Plymouth with members of my team to learn more about one of the groups largest clients being SKY. After I returned to Glasgow I started the representation of SKY with just four other strong individuals. I have learnt from scratch everything about a business set up and all the financial, recruitment, administration & management side of running a business too. Since progressing through the Business Development Programme with Mamba and learning and developing a wide array of skills, I’ve now been running & directing my very own Sales & Marketing Company named Entice Marketing.
I began trading on the 23rd of February 2009 with myself and the same four Representatives, I now have over 30 people in my Marketing Company.
I owe a massive thanks to Mamba and the hard working individuals within the company, Barry Morgan the Managing Director of Mamba has worked and trained me every day on how to run a great Marketing Company, the dedication and experience from Sam Morgan and her front office team has also propelled my success.
The lifestyle and travel opportunities I now have are phenomenal and this is just the beginning of my journey, I’ve never looked back since day one!
I am really looking forward to continuing the growth of the business whilst further expanding the group. This business has given me the opportunity and belief that I can achieve anything I want to, & the best thing about it is - I know my goals and ambitions are in my own hands.
