
After working within the Hospitality Industry for 8 years and not getting very far I decided I wanted a new challenge that would offer opportunity & progression. I definitely found this within Mamba Marketing.
When I first began working with Mamba I started on the sales & marketing side which helped build my confidence as I was quite a shy person. I learnt how to get great at sales but also how to get great at training & developing a small team of sales people.
I worked alongside the Managing Director at the end of 2004 when Mamba started with just 6 individuals in the team - so to be a part of the group now which has in excess of over 100 individuals in the team - 3 offices Glasgow, 1 Dundee and also helping to offer ongoing support & mentoring to another 2 offices based in Belfast - its been an amazing journey to be a part of! This year Mamba is set to grow again and should see another 2 offices in Scotland and another 1 in Ireland.
What I have really noticed there has always been a strong focus on from the MD all the way through to its people is in offering exceptional customer services on behalf of our super-branded clients!
I pride myself on my customer services which is always at the forefront of my mind in everything I do and something I have worked very hard at. It’s a fantastic & satisfying feeling to receive such positive feedback from so many of our customers and clients alike, and knowing what we do every day is helping to change and give better quality of life to others, that for me is one of the most rewarding parts of my role here.
I was very proud to win a Quality Sales Award at one of our European Conventions, first time I have had to go up on stage to collect an award in front of approximately 3500 individuals, but this has really helped to build my self confidence & give me huge self belief.
I have also had the opportunity to do a lot of travelling to various cities within the UK like Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, London, Birmingham etc, and I was also invited on an all expenses paid trip to Marbella in Spain, which was nothing short of spectacular!
The skills I have gained within Mamba are beyond what I had ever expected and I have had the opportunity to gain more experience not just on the sales and training side but also on the administration, recruitment, and all round business perspective side of things, really learning more about how the business operates daily, but also how hard our administrators & recruiters work to help build the business from the inside out, that has really helped me to see the all round business picture & have a much better understanding of the business foundations & business future goals too.
I have realised that what you put in, is what you get back out, and there is no where on earth that can offer you this kind of opportunity, and at the same time nurture your individual needs & wants, whilst offering the best training & support, which of course in turn can offer you better choices and lifestyle.
